KGF franchise producer, Vijay Kiragandur has confirmed the next installment of this blockbuster series. KGF has undoubtedly one of the most loved film franchises in India and now, the makers are planning to make it as big as Marvel movies.

Fronted by superstar Yash, KGF Chapter 2, was released in theaters worldwide on April 14 last month and shattered box office records by grossing over 1150 crores. The movie is still playing in theaters and has a shot to go past 1200 crores worldwide gross. KGF 2 is one of the first Indian movies to have a post-credit scene and it was about the 3rd installment.

In a recent interview, producer Vijay Kiragandur said they are planning to start the movie by the end of this year itself before releasing it in 2024. "Director Prashant Neel is currently busy with Salaar. Around 30-35% of the shooting is done. The next schedule is slated to begin next week. We hope to complete it by October-November this year. So, we plan to begin the shoot for KGF after October this year. We hope to release the film by 2024", he told Dainik Bhaskar (via Hindustan Times).

Asked if any new actor would join or Yash would reprise the role again, the producer added, "Going forward, we are going to create a Marvel kind of universe. We want to bring different characters from different movies and create something like Doctor Strange. The way it happened in Spider-Man Home Coming or Doctor Strange. So that we can reach a wider audience easily".

KGF Chapter 2 created mayhem among the Indian audience once it was released in theaters. The movie stars Yash, and Srinidhi Shetty, among a few others reprising their roles from the original movie with new cast addition, including Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj, among others. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the movie is an all-time blockbuster in the dubbed Hindi version with a collection of 420+ crores net.
The confirmation of KGF 3 is surely big news for the fans of the franchise which is growing day by day.
