Thanks to a publication on ‎Reddit, it was discovered that the international poster of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has undergone a change due to the controversial gesture of the hero (Benedict Cumberbatch).

It's a hand gesture traditionally known as the rock n' roll symbol, but in certain regions around the world, it's described simply as "the horns", bringing different meanings.

In Italy and other Mediterranean countries, the gesture, with the fingers bent down and not directed towards another person, is used to ward off bad luck or “the evil eye”.‎

At the same time, when pointed up (as it is on the original poster), or aggressively at another person, it is considered an offensive way of calling someone “betrayed”.
